7/30/2023 0 Comments Tim arnold pinballFirst off Tim is a unique guy and is not driven by looking for personal gain or recognition. Again - I really don't think it is anyone's business what Tim does with the money he takes in but it is sad to hear not only is Tim having a hard time keeping some people in the pinball community happy but he is also having a hard time giving money away.Ī few things I do know for sure just from the few times I talked to him. Thanks to Clay for bringing us up to date as far as what is going on with Tim & charity work. again he feel insurance companies suck, so he going this route. He has $1million in the bank as a self-insurance policy. Tim has also changed how he does insurance. he is considering building a low rent elderly home on the empty parking lot next door, where he can do charity work himself. but he's banking most of the money in the short run. right now tim is trying to figure out how to solve this problem. feels they aren't really helping people, they are more interested in helping themselves. Tim is very dis-satisfied with the charities out that. they want to sell in train loads only (like to walmart.) he calls canning companies and they won't sell him a truckload of food. Now tim is instead buying food for local homeless shelters. and then it sat unlicensed and uninsured for a month. the last donation tim made to the army was buying the las vegas chapter a new truck. instead of making decisions at the local level, now corporate army decides for the local chapters. He is no longer giving directly to the salvation army. He can't find a charity that is worthy of tim's goals. but as of late, he's having a problem doing that. the solidstate replacement was the path of least resistance. didn't want to spend time trying to find the parts, and then fix the parts. unless they wanted to spend time sourcing original parts, but of course, they were in a hurry. they really didn't have any choice but to do what they did. the game was a mess, missing a lot of parts. Please stop with the short sided speculation for which most know nothing. and another $8k on the genco two player basketball. Yes tim paid $8k to get the arm wrestling game restored.
